Puppy Adoption & The Application Process

PUPPY ADOPTION

Fill Out The Puppy Adoption Application

Thank you for your interest in a Good Life Golden Retrievers. Reservations for a puppy are honored in the order in which the application is received, followed by personal contact and reservation fee. We invest a great deal of time to provide you with the perfect puppy by the careful, loving and methodically thorough way we raise each one. You and I will jointly decide which puppy will best fit into your household, and the $500 reservation fee will reserve that puppy for you.

I will be holding a puppy specifically for you and telling other potential owners that it is sold. Therefore, the reservation fee non-refundable. If there are not enough in a specified litter for you to receive a puppy, your reservation fee will be rolled over to the next litter. Also, if the timing of a specific litter is not good for you, your reservation fee may be applied to a later litter as long as you make the request at the time of the breeding. Your purchase is GUARANTEED.

Every litter is chronicled in great detail with photographs and notes. You will be kept up to date on your puppy’s development prior to picking it up, and will continue to receive updates and pictures on your puppy’s littermates as I receive them. Also, you may watch them live from birth until pick-up on two dedicated Puppy Cams, first in the Master Bath, where they are delivered, then in our Dining Room, where the pups live.

I will not ship a puppy unless it can be transported aboard the plane as carry on luggage. However, I will gladly meet you somewhere between our homes if the drive to Lake Toxaway, NC is too far for you to complete the round trip in one day. I do charge for my out of pocket expenses, which I keep to a minimum.

I have been breeding dogs for 40 years and will answer any question you have. And if I don’t know the answer I’ll find it! I have an extensive library of books and online articles covering every aspect of dog ownership, and love to continually add to my knowledge and share it with others.

When you pick up your puppy you will receive a puppy packet containing the following:

• AKC registration of said puppy. If not yet in my possession, you will be provided with a bill of sale stating sire’s and dam’s name and AKC number, date of birth of puppy, and a guarantee that the AKC registration will be sent to you as soon as I receive it.

• Puppy health certificate from a license veterinarian.

• Vaccine and de-worming schedule, which must be followed.

• Several days supply of raw food as well as an excellent holistic puppy kibble. Please keep the puppy on one or the other, or if you change its diet, change to another I have recommended. I strongly recommend the BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) regimen.

• Life time support from the breeder.

• The cost of my puppies start at $3,200 and up (depending on the breeding) and are usually reserved long before they are born.

Good Life Goldens
We are a small North Carolina breeder of exceptional Golden Retrievers. Our main goal is to achieve, by selective breeding, Goldens that possess the soundness, natural ability and temperament that is reflected in the Golden Retriever Breed Standard. Our puppies are raised and loved in our home, not a kennel. Health is guaranteed. They are AKC registered, champion sired, veterinarian inspected and monitored, vaccinated, dewormed, well socialized and “prepared” for their forever homes. They are loving pet companions, and genetically appropriate as Therapy Dogs, Show prospects, Obedience, Tracking or Agility competitors.
